Internship
As prescribed by Kathmandu University, all the students during their last semester will have to undergo an internship programme in a business/industrial/financial organization of repute, for a period not less than ten weeks. After the termination of the internship, the students will be required to submit a project report detailing the jobs/tasks undertaken and the experience thus gained, during that period. The basic purpose of this internship which has a credit weightage of 6 hours equivalence, is to expose the students to real life business settings, in order to help them in utilizing the knowledge that they had gained, besides applying the managerial skills that they have acquired during their academic sessions. It has been observed that such internships have been beneficial in bridging the vast discrepancy that is often generated between studies and the ultimate career goal of the student.
